Founded in 2011, the mission of the School of Arts and Culture is to strengthen San Jose’s diverse community through multicultural and artistic programming. The School provides a creative space for the preservation of arts and culture that offers year-round community engagement and arts education opportunities for Latinos of all ages. Its Afterschool and Summer Day Camp programs annually serve more than 800 youth and its Multicultural Arts Leadership Initiative (MALI) program has trained nearly 50 local cultural arts leaders to date. A proud supporter since its inception, the foundation recently awarded multiyear core operating support to The School.
