MESA Schools Program @ SJSUFeatured Education Grantee
The MESA program serves over 1,000 6th-12th grade students in some of the highest need areas within San Jose, specifically within the East Side, Alum Rock, Morgan Hill and San Jose School Districts annually. Over half of them are Latino, low-income and first-generation college bound students. MESA programs include STEM teacher training; academic support through hands-on applications and guidance that improves performance in math and science. Also, MESA assists students with college and career exploration workshops and site visits to expose students to college and STEM careers; and coaching and preparation to help students enroll in a science or math-related major at a four-year university.
Interested applicants should register online to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) as the first step in the application process. If your organization meets our eligibility criteria and your project aligns with our strategies, you will receive an email invitation to complete the online application.
